Park Publishes Piece in Information and Management

MIS Instructor Insu Park has been accepted for publication in the journal Information and Management. Park, who authored the article along with Jeewon Cho of the School of Business at Oregon State University and John W. Michel of the College of Business and Economics at Towson University, learned of the honor during his first week as a Fogelman faculty member.

The article, “How Does Leadership Affect Information Systems Success? The Role of Transformational Leadership,” examines the positive impact of transformational leadership on information systems (IS) success in organizations directly and indirectly via two psychological mechanisms of system users: perceived organizational support and systems self-efficacy. The conceptual model was assessed using a sample of 251 employees from a multi-national bank in Korea. The results, which supported the idea that transformational leadership was positively related to system users’ IS success, call for attention to the importance of transformational leadership development in organizations.
