Fogelman College Professor, Dr. Pankaj Jain, Publishes in Top Finance Journals

Pankaj Jain, The Suzanne D. Palmer Professor and an Associate Professor of Finance at the University of Memphis, has recently had exceptional success with his research programs. Within a matter of months, seven of his articles have been accepted for publication in top tier financial academic journals. His dedication to the development and dissemination of new ideas reflects the strong commitment to excellence of the University of Memphis’s business program.

Dr. Jain’s articles have/will be published in multiple leading academic journals including the Journal of Financial Economics (JFE), Journal of Finance (JF), Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Journal of Air Transport Management, Financial Review, the Engineering Economist, Rethinking Valuation and Pricing Models and Pacific-Basin Finance Journal.

The nation’s most prestigious schools compete for placement in these top tier journals. Dr. Jain’s accomplishments are a testament to the credibility of Fogelman College’s Finance Department.

Dr. Jain is the winner of multiple research awards and academic excellence awards from University of Memphis, Indiana University, Eastern Finance Association, Morgan Stanley and Price Waterhouse Coopers LLC. His industry experience includes consulting with some of the world’s foremost financial organizations such as the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), National Stock Exchange, Pinnacle Airlines, and Google Inc.

His research has been presented at the leading national and international conferences of American Finance Association (AFA), Western Finance Association (WFA), National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER), Financial Management Association (FMA), the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and also cited in several textbooks and journals.
