Dr. David Spiceland’s Textbook Goes Global

Dr. David Spiceland, a Professor of Accountancy at FCBE, has received numerous accolades for his text book, Intermediate Accounting. Most recently, McGraw-Hill published a global edition of Spiceland’s textbook, now in its seventh edition. The textbook is being published in Canadian and Chinese editions. The global edition is adapted primarily for the European and Asian markets, using foreign company examples and assignment problems. The focus is on the emerging International Financial Reporting Standards rather than U.S. Standards. Spiceland is the lead author. His co-authors are Dr. James Sepe (Santa Clara University) and Dr. Mark Nelson (Cornell University). Dr. Spiceland’s other textbook, Financial Accounting, is in its second edition.
