Dean Grover's Message

Rajiv Grover

Exciting times continue for the Fogelman College of Business & Economics. From the official opening of the Avron B. Fogelman Center for Professional Student Development to the school's top 25% ranking in a key U.S. News & World Report listing, the college is making a splash in the business world on both a local and nationwide scale.

In this edition of Fogelman Flash, you'll find articles that highlight the accomplishments of the college, our faculty and staff, and our students. You'll also find news about the business professionals, donors and alumni in our community who are helping to fuel Fogelman's success. Among the topics covered here are a new endowment that will ensure the continued success of the Memphis Institute for Leadership Education (MILE) Program, an open house that aimed to spread the word about our Fogelman Promise initiatives among students and community members, the latest developments in the School of Accountancy and a custom executive training program designed by our team for Memphis-based Pinnacle Airlines.

Also covered in the issue are the many accolades and publishing accomplishments earned by Fogelman's esteemed faculty, among them new books by Drs. Rabi S. Bhagat and Zabihollah "Zabi" Rezaee, papers by Drs. Insu Park, Christine Jiang, Thomas McInish and David G. Allen, and a Wall Street Journal nod to a book by Dr. William Kettinger.

Much is happening at Fogelman, and thanks to the tremendous dedication of our faculty, staff, alumni and community partners, we look forward to an even brighter future. Thanks for your support of our efforts.

My very best wishes,
Rajiv Grover, Ph.D.
Dean
