Dr. Heike Polster
Assistant Professor of German
Dr. Heike Polster received her Ph.D. from Washington University in St. Louis (2007).
Her research area is Twentieth – Century German and Austrian literature and culture
with a special interest in the philosophy of time and space.
Professor Polster teaches language and literature classes at all levels. Current Projects:
- Polster is currently working on a book entitled "Heterochronic Visions", a project
exploring interpretative tools for the purpose of creating a conceptual unity between
temporally disjointed elements, in particular the methods of perception which might
serve to locate the evocative potential of space.
