The membership committee is charged with implementation of the FOL goal of increased membership.  They handle membership marketing materials, direct and email membership campaigns and special initiatives.

2009-10 projects include

• Enhanced membership benefits initiative
• Faculty outreach initiative (library liaison party etc.)
• Membership brochure revision
• Development of membership database

Communication

As a small and growing organization, communication is of paramount importance. The Communication committee is comprised of

• Compass newsletter team
• Website team
• Publicity distributes information on programs
• Public relations through direct relationships and also in conjunction with the University marketing department

Programming

Library programming is a wonderful benefit for the campus community as well as the larger Memphis community.  The programming committee works to support programs in conjunction with Tom Mendina, Assistant to the Dean. Additionally, FOL special events highlight the programs and the library capabilities.

Finance

Works with library staff and FOL treasurer to establish and track budget
