Time sure does fly when you are having fun. My winter break seemed to disappear into thin air, but that was okay I was ready to start back at school. No, I promise I am not some big geek (contrary to what my close friends may say) and always yearning to learn. It's just that in college the winter break lasts for a whole month. I was off between December 9 and January 12. So, after being at home all that time I was ready to come back to my friends at school. Yet, I wasn't as prepared to return as I thought I would be.
The first week of school back described in one word, mass chaos. Ok that's two words, but it was definitely just one of those weeks. I had to go through the room change procedure because I wanted to change from Richardson Towers North to roommate. Nothing against Richardson Towers or my old roommate. It was just time to move. I needed a quieter place to study and someplace that was more convenient all around. With nineteen class hours this semester and working fifteen hours on-campus, Mynders worked out perfectly. I am now on a study quiet floor (It's actually quiet!) and the walk is a lot closer. Overall, I am just a much happier person with my new living arrangements. The hardest thing was having to live in my old dorm for half a week and then move out, across campus, in the middle of the week. Thanks to my sweet Campus Crusade buddies the transition went a little smoother. Thank you Nathan and Jared for moving my fridge up two flights of stairs, even if you did laugh at my bad parking. Also, thanks Virginia and Diane for being "ingenuitive" (?) and helping me move with the grocery cart across campus and up the stairs. Of course, my mom helped me finish the move this weekend. Now I just have to finish unpacking and clean up a little bit.
Also, this semester I decided to load up with nineteen hours while I still had some easier general education classes left. So far it's been okay. It just takes a little more organization, which I'm working on. I have my first night class since I have been here. I think I might actually enjoy it.
Also, I was able to arrange my schedule where I don't have Friday classes. I might be going home some more on the weekends. I guess it just depends how much homework I have, for it seems my house has a black hole that sucks up all your homework and makes you procrastinate more. It also depends on my church, High Point. I really hate missing it. Hopefully everything will still be okay when it comes time for midterms and finals.
