The classification officer of each public higher educational institution shall be
responsible for initially classifying students "in-state" or "out-of-state." Appropriate
procedures shall be established by each such institution by which a student may appeal
his or her initial classification.
If, for any reason, there is a question about a student’s residency classification
for fee paying purposes, it is his or her responsibility to check with the Graduate
Admissions Office. Application for residency reclassification must be made to the
classification officer on or before the last day of regular registration of that semester.
