Masters degree programs are offered in 55 areas through six colleges and three schools.The Doctor of Philosophy degree is offered in 19 areas through the College of Arts and Sciences; Fogelman College of Business and Economics; College of Communication and Fine Arts, the College of Education, Health and Human Sciences; Herff College of Engineering; the School of Communication Sciences and Disorders, and the School of Public Health.

The degrees of Doctor of Audiology, Doctor of Education, and Doctor of Musical Arts are awarded by the School of Communication Sciences and Disorders, the College of Education, Health and Human Sciences, and the College of Communication and Fine Arts, respectively. The degree of Doctor of Philosophy is awarded by the School of Communication Sciences and Disorders,the College of Arts and Sciences, th Fogelman College of Business and Economics, the College of Communicationand Fine Arts, the Herff College of Engineering and the School of Public Health. The College of Education, Health and Human Sciences also awards the degree of Education Specialist.

Graduate certificates are also offered in African American Literature, Applied Lean Leadership, Artist Diploma in Music, Business Information Assurance, Cognitive Science, College Teaching, Community College Teaching and Leadership, Disability Studies, Geographic Information Systems, Healthcare Informatics Leadership, Information Assurance, Instructional Computing Applications, Literacy, Leadership, and Coaching, Local Government Management, Museum Studies, Nursing Administration, Nursing Informatics, Philantrophy and Non-Profit Leadership, Software Testing, Teaching English as a Second Language, Urban Education, and Women's and Gender Studies. The Loewenberg School of Nursing awards the post-master's Family Nurse Practitioner certificate.

Sept. 6 -- Last day to submit an electronic graduation application in the MyMemphs portal and the last day to submit Master's, Doctoral or Certificate Candidacy Forms to respective College Directors of Graduate Studies for December, 2013 graduation. Candidacy forms require signatures. Do not wait until the deadline to submit to your departmental academic advisor.

Nov. 15 -- Last day to submit defended and corrected "paper" copy of theses/dissertations to Graduate School for review.

Nov. 25 -- Last day for final corrected theses/dissertations to be uploaded to ETD system no later than 12:00 noon.

Nov. 27 -- Last day for academic departments to submit Comprehensive Examination results for August, 2013 degree candidates.

Dec. 9 -- Last day for doctoral students to submit final PDF version of dissertation on CD along with fee receipt and required forms.
