Panhellenic Council Recruitment Attire

Panhellenic Council has four official rounds of formal recruitment week. Each round is more special than the previous day. Please CLICK HERE for a printable version with photos!

Round 1 - Open House

The first round of recruitment events is very casual. Potential new members will be provided a t-shirt to wear for the day. We recommend that you wear shorts (khaki, denim or whatever you prefer) or jeans with your t-shirt.

Round 2 - Philanthropy Night

Attire for Philanthropy night is casual as well. A nice top and dark jeans are appropriate for this event.

Round 3 - Sisterhood Night

Because the atmosphere for Sisterhood night is slightly more serious than Open House and Philanthropy night, your attire should be a little “dressier” than the outfits you have worn on the previous days. A sundress, shorts outfit, slacks or a skirt would be fitting for these events.

Round 4 - Preference Night

Preference night is the dressiest round of recruitment. Since it is a serious night, a cocktail dress would be appropriate.

"The best part of Greek Life at Memphis is that it is not what I thought Greek Life was going to be. I was the guy in high school that vowed to never join a fraternity, but the chapters here at the U of M are different. Chapters are focusing on member development and concerning themselves with making better men. It is the ultimate way to make the college experience, but to better yourself in a positive way at the same time."
