Civil Engineering Alum Receives Japanese Oil Chemist Society's 2006 Lectureship Award

Dr. David Sabatini, M.S.C.E. '85,  traveled to Tokyo, Japan in September to receive the Japanese Oil Chemist Society’s 2006 Lectureship Award at their annual meeting (Septemer 7-9, 2006).  Dr. Sabatini’s plenary lecture at the meeting was entitled “Advanced Surfactant Microemulsions:  Technology Development and Application.”  While in Japan Dr. Sabatini also gave an invited talk at the annual meeting of the Japanese Chemical Society:  Colloid Division in Sapporo (September 13-15, 2006) and invited lectures at two Japanese Chemical Companies (Shisheido and Kao) in the Tokyo area.  Dr. Sabatini is a David Ross Boyd Professor and holds the Sun Oil Company endowed chair in the School of Civil Engineering and Environmental Science at the University of Oklahoma.
