| GEE History |
|

The GEE program was started in 2004 through a grant from the Womens Foundation for a Greater Memphis. The original program was for middle school girls only and lasted two weeks. Since then, the program has expanded to include both middle and high school students and to develop a strong mentoring and leadership component along with the introduction to engineering. In addition to funding from the Womens Foundation, support now also comes from the Herff College of Engineering and the The Center for Intermodal Freight Transportation Studies.
