The University of Memphis’ Herff College of Engineering has named Keith Loveless as
director of the Center for Advanced Intermodal Technologies (CAIT). He comes to the
U of M from FedEx, where he spent the past 24 years of his career.
A native Memphian, Loveless began his career with FedEx in 1985. He started as a package
handler and worked his way up the operations and management ranks with FedEx Express
Hub Operations. He managed outbound flight operations for several years, and then
moved to FedEx Logistics Services, where he helped manage the third-party logistics
arm of FedEx.
Loveless continued to progress through various positions within FedEx, from project
management to quality improvement, sales support, sales management, and finally to
sales education. He most recently managed the new-hire education team and curriculum
for FedEx Solutions.
Loveless graduated from the U of M with a BBA in 1984; he earned his MBA from Union
University in 2000. He is an active member of the Sales and Marketing Society of the
Mid-South, the Council of Logistics Management, the American Society for Training
and Development, and the Mid-South International Business Council.
