Freshmen entering the Herff College of Engineering's newly established undergraduate
program in Biomedical Engineering enjoyed a celebratory luncheon with their mentors.
This program, organized by Drs. Joel Bumgardner and Amy Dejongh Curry, pairs undergraduate
students with a graduate student mentor who can provide support and information as
they navigate their first year in the Biomedical Engineering department. In addition,
the mentoring program offers leadership opportunities to graduate students. Almost
20 students participated in the mentoring program in its inaugural year.
