The Herff College of Engineering welcomed 13 guest lecturers during National Engineers
Week, which ran February 15 – 19. Topics ranged from “Tips for Landing a Job with
a Biomedical Engineering Company” presented by Mary Anthony (BSME ’92), Will Armstrong (BSME ’02) and Ann Burgess to “What Does a Geotechnical Engineer Do?” by Matt Caskey (MSCE ’02), Tommy Dunlap and Ashraf Elsayed.
Students enjoyed the mix of job-seeking advice and case studies of real-world applications
for theories learned in the classroom.
Plans are underway for the 2011 National Engineers Week, which will be February 21-25.
