The Engineering Technical support personnel consists of two Research Equipment Technicians, an Electronics Technician, a Local Support Provider and several student assistants.

Robert Jordan and Rick Voyles perform machining operations, piping design work, and fabrication and maintenance of equipment to support the instructional laboratories and the research activities of the college.

The machine shop is located on the first floor of the Engineering Technology building in room ET 100.  The shop is typically open from 6:30 A.M. to 3:30 P.M., Monday through Friday.

The Electronics Technician is Mark Farrar.  He is responsible for maintaining electronic equipment in the instructional and research laboratories.  This may include testing and repair of electronic equipment and computers and peripherals.

The Local Support Provider for the College of Engineering is Dr. Alfredo Ramirez (shown seated).

The Local Support Providers are responsible for maintenance of computing equipment, for software installation, and for helping faculty and staff stay connected to the network for electronic information access.  Dr. Ramirez and his assistants are also responsible for maintaining the college computer inventory.
