Every day is the anniversary of important events of the past.
Are you curious to know what events are associated with this day in history? Any of
these links will tell you.
Chase’s Holidays and Events does not quite fit the category. Although it does list the anniversaries of some
historical events, most of its entries call attention to events that are happening
now. Where else would you learn about the Banana Split Festival that is held in Wilmington,
Ohio, or the Battle Creek Cereal Festival with World’s Longest Breakfast Table that
is held in Battle Creek, Michigan?
There is also a page that lists the special themes for each month of the year. According to Chase’s, June is recognized nationally as Accordion Awareness Month.
Regional or local themes include California Dried Plum Digestive Health Month in January;
Cell Phone Courtesy Month in July, and Peanut Butter Lovers’ Month in November. There
are lots more.
