Interdisciplinary Studies: African and African American Studies

I am currently collecting and editing the writings of Bishop Henry McNeal Turner,
a 19th century Bishop of the African Methodist Episcopal Church (AME). As you can imagine,
this project is dependent upon time online, in libraries, some travel, and a lot of
footnote chasing. Since I am working with documents from the 19th and early 20th century, I need researchers, typists, and proofreaders to assist in the project.
The goal from this research would be to develop a paper that the student can present
at either (or both) the National Council of Black Studies Conference (NCBS) typically
held in the Spring or the African American Society of Life and History Conference
(ASALH) typically held in the Fall.
Since this is an ongoing project, I can have students start at anytime.
I will offer this opportunity as academic credit or on a volunteer basis
