Project Description: The study aims to find a link between external forces applied to the body during common exercise modalities (e.g., walking, cycling and elliptical) and blood biomarkers of cartilage damage in obese and non-obese middle-aged men.

Requirements for Student Applicants: Interested applicants should apply directly to Dr. Paquette at mrpqette@memphis.edu. Ideal applicants should have taken EXSS3020, EXSS3405, EXSS3603, or EXSS3703 but students in biology or biomedical engineering are welcome to apply. Preference will be given to applicants interested in health/exercise related research.

Project Description: The study compares the effectiveness of two balance training interventions to improve balance performance, trip recovery, and muscle strength in older adults with a history of falling.
