Medical Insurance (required for F1 students; cost varies based on student's age and length of coverage; price range listed is for  insurance purchased through the university per 8-week session; proof of insurance through an independent carrier requires this form)

How to Pay

Payments sent in must be made in US dollars by check (payable to The University of Memphis.)  If payments sent in need to be made by credit card or wire transfer, please contact the IEI office for instructions.  DO NOT mail cash or send credit card information directly to the IEI office by mail, email or fax.  Payments made in person can be paid by check, money order, cash or credit card. Students traveling to the US are advised to bring their money in US-dollar travelers' checks.

Late Fees

All fees related to application, tuition, program, university housing, and medical insurance must be paid in-full by the registration deadline before the beginning of each session. Late payments made during the first week of the session will be assessed a $100 late payment fee. No payments will be accepted after the first week of the session. 

Refund Policy

Tuition refunds are available for students who withdraw:

  • On or before the first day of the session: 100% refund
  • After the first day of the session up to the fifth day of the session: 75% refund
  • After the fifth day of the session up to the tenth day of the session: 25% refund
