An assistant professor of German, Dr. Kelz has taught courses on postwar German history, contemporary German music, and German literature and film from 1933-1945. His research explores the cultural production and survival strategies of German-speaking nationalist, Zionist, and antifascist emigrants to the South American Southern Cone. He is a former Fulbright and DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) scholar, as well as a research fellow at the Payró Institute of the University of Buenos Aires. Dr. Kelz has led study abroad programs to Berlin, Bremen, and Eichstätt, Germany. A member of the advisory board of the Center for German Immigration to Argentina at the University of San Martín, Dr. Kelz is the author of one book and eight journal articles with European and North and South American academic publishers.
