Partnerships
The Institute for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Leadership houses collaborative partnerships that promote the work of the nonprofit sector.

Nonprofit Leadership Collaborative of the Mid-South is an alliance of nonprofit and academic partners working to prepare the next generation of nonprofit leaders.

Memphis Grantmakers Forum is a regional network of philanthropic individuals and organizations dedicated to responsible, sustainable philanthropy in the Greater Memphis region.

Strengthening Communities is an initiative designed to build capacity in neighborhood and community nonprofit organizations.  This effort has also furthered the engaged scholarship activities of university faculty, and is funded by United Way of the Mid-South, Community Foundation of Greater Memphis, and the University of Memphis Research Foundation.

Our mission is to promote effective philanthropy, advance nonprofit leadership practice, and strengthen the nonprofit sector through education and research.

The Institute for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Leadership works in conjunction with the Division of Public and Nonprofit Administration, a unit in the School of Urban Affairs and Public Policy, College of Arts and Sciences.
