The International Students Office is only one part of the Center for International
Programs and Services and is here for students who want to know about passports, visas,
work authorizations, SEVIS, health insurance and other information essential to all
F-1 visa holders on campus.
If you are entering the United States to attend the University of Memphis , a form
I-20AB should be sent to you to assist you in securing an F-1 visa. Send us an e-mail
request to get your SEVIS number in advance of your I-20's arrival, so you can book
your consulate appointment.
If you are already inside the United States , you will not receive your I-20AB until
you come to campus and check in with our office. All international students must contact the International Students Office immediately
upon arrival at The University of Memphis; we are located in 102 Old Brister Basement. Students with F-1 visas will not be
able to register for classes until they complete mandatory check-in requirements in
the International Students Office.
