Student Life

Get Active

The key to a healthy mind is a healthy body. Memphis provides numerous gyms and opportunities for physical activity.

Get healthy and have fun doing it by going to the Student Recreation and Fitness Center! You can join an intramural team, play basketball, take yoga classes, swim in the pool or use the cardio & weight room for a more traditional workout. Go to Campus Recreation for more information, including days and times that the gym is open.

RiverFit: Six fitness and exercise stations on the riverfront of the Mississippi River, located downtown. This is a great way to workout outdoors and not have to buy a gym membership.

Shelby Farms Greenline: A 10.65 mile paved trail that is open to pedestrians and cyclists. Bike rentals are available.
