Creating a Group Policy Object

Open Active Directory Users and Computers within the Administrative Tools Pack.
Right-click on the appropriate OU and click Properties.

Select the Group Policy tab and click New. Name the gpo according to the required naming standards of OU_Name-Sub_OU_Name-GPO.
Examples of valid names: CJI-gpo, CAS-Automatic Updates
Examples of invalid names: gpotest, Automatic Update GPO-CAS

Click the Edit button to edit any Group Policy values and they will apply to your OU.

Adding Templates

Click Add/Remove Templates in gpedit.msc.

Open the template you would like to use (i.e. “wuau" is the Windows Update template).

- Click the Close button.

Edit the policy values that you wish to change
