What is a Sponsored Account?
Sponsored Accounts provide individuals who are not formally affiliated with the University
of Memphis access to computing resources to support instructional, research or administrative
activities.
Examples of sponsored accounts include visiting scholars, vendors, and retirees.
Through the sponsorship of a full-time employee or faculty, an individual is granted
temporary access to University resources, including but not limited to lab access,
e-mail, and file storage.
Sponsored Accounts have a limited duration (maximum 1 year), but can be renewed as
needed.
