A client is a piece of software installed on your computer or laptop that allows you to access a service installed on a central server.  In this case, after you install the virtual private network (VPN) client, you can connect to the University's network from anywhere.

Two clients are available to the University community.  Both clients connect to the same secured VPN. 

The AnyConnect client should be used except in cases where AnyConnect is incompatible with your current networking hardware.  If AnyConnect does not work, please try installing the IPSec client.

To install either of the VPN clients on your machine, you will need to be logged in as the administrator of the machine and have a minimum of 50 MB of hard drive space available.
