The University of Memphis Virtual Private Network (VPN) provides secure access to restricted University data on any off-campus computer.  The VPN must be used with any home computer or laptop used to access restricted data remotely.

• If you are a remote desktop user and need instructions on how to use the VPN for remote desktop access, click here.
• If you are a staff or faculty member that needs access to Internet Native Banner (INB), click here.

If you access restricted information while you are on the University campus, do not use the VPN.

If you are only accessing UMmail and UMdrive while off campus, it is not necessary to use the VPN.  UMmail and UMdrive are both secured sites.
