Wireless at the University of Memphis

What is it?

There are two wireless networks on campus, uofm and uofm-guest.  The uofm  network offers all the computing services that the wired network does with fast and reliable data connection speeds of up to 54Mbps.  The uofm-guest network is equally fast, however, it only allows access to web browsing (including secure sites) and web e-mail.

Who can use it?

All University of Memphis students, faculty and staff with a UUID and password can log into the uofm wireless network.

Guests visiting the campus can access the uom-guest network.

Where can I use it?

All Academic buildings on campus have wireless access.

How can I use it?

Once you are equipped with a wireless card for your portable computer or handheld device, the networks will be completely accessible without the restraints of a network cable and jack.

How can I get started using one of the networks?

Please visit the Getting Started page.
