The standard TigerLAN image is an image used in TAF funded labs throughout the University’s
campus. The standard image implements a consistent operating system, provides access
to centrally distributed software, and maintains uniform security features across
networked machines.
Creation
A standard TigerLAN image is created for each machine model located in the University’s
TAF labs.
Requests for changes or additions to the standard TigerLAN image are subject to review
by the TigerLAN Team. Requests for changes or additions should be submitted in writing
to the TigerLAN Team (tlteam@memphis.edu) prior to June 1 for fall image consideration.
Custom TigerLAN images can be created by LSPs for TAF labs that require specialized
software in addition to the features offered on the standard TigerLAN image. It is
the LSP's responsibility to test and troubleshoot any custom images they create.
Modifying the Standard TigerLAN Image

is housed on a server managed by Client Support Services, and the image link is distributed
to the LSP community.
