Ada Crichlow Thomas Memorial Scholarship

Mrs. Elizabeth T. Caldwell (1917-2012) graduated from West Tennessee State Teachers College, now the University of Memphis, in 1939 with a degree in History. An engaged citizen and philanthropist, Mrs. Caldwell understood the tremendous impact scholarships have on a students' ability to attend college. The Ada Crichlow Thomas Memorial Scholarship was established to honor her grandmother. The scholarship provides assistance to students with significant financial need allowing recipients to focus on their studies without significant financial burdens.

Applicants for the Ada Crichlow Thomas Memorial Scholarship must be enrolled full-time at the University of Memphis Lambuth Campus or be admitted to the University with plans to enroll full-time at the Lambuth Campus for the academic year indicated on the application.

  • The Ada Crichlow Thomas Memorial Scholarship requires that recipients be enrolled full-time at the University of Memphis Lambuth Campus and remains in good academic standing.
  • Applicants agree to complete the 2014-2015 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by April 15, 2014 (be sure to list the University of Memphis code 003509) and to provide all documents requested by the Financial Aid Office in a timely manner. Applications for the Thomas Scholarship will not be reviewed until the applicant's financial aid award package has been completed.

A special committee appointed by the Dean of the University of Memphis Lambuth Campus will review and select the recipients. Several scholarships will be awarded; the scholarship amounts will vary. To apply, please complete the form and return it by April 15, 2014 to:

Tom Price Memorial Endowed Scholarship for Music

The Tom Price Memorial Endowed Scholarship for Music honors the memory of Tom Price by supporting deserving students in the Entertainment Music Industry program at the University of Memphis Lambuth Campus.

Applicants for the Tom Price Memorial Endowed Scholarship for Music must be enrolled full-time at the University of Memphis Lambuth Campus or be admitted to the University with plans to enroll full-time at the Lambuth Campus for the academic year indicated on the application. Applicants must also have a declared major of Bachelor of Professional Studies with a concentration in Entertainment Music Industry. Priority preference shall be given to students whose concentration is guitar performance; preference shall also be given to students who minor or double-major in Astronomy.
