As a city with a colorful history, memorable characters, accommodating citizens, and generally good weather, Memphis has been cast as star or backdrop in a number of films over the years. We've even heard that our building was once used as a site for films. The Memphis and Shelby County Film and Television Commission works hard to attract business from the film industry. Memphis has hosted its own International Film and Music Festival for more than a decade.
