There are lots of exciting Moot Court/Mock Trial events going on this week!  Please see below for details.  We wouldn’t want you to miss out on any of the fun!!

•         Spring Moot Court/Mock Trial Travel Team Informational Meeting

Tuesday, November 3rd at 12:15 in the Courtroom – open to all 2Ls and 3Ls

Pizza will be provided

•        National Travel Team Dress Rehearsal

Tuesday, November 3rd at 7:00 p.m. in the Courtroom – open to all students, faculty and staff

Please join us for the National Moot Court Travel Team’s dress rehearsal.  Daniel Cossey, Jamie Kidd and John Brittingham will be representing the law school at the Regional Competition in Montgomery, AL on November 6th and 7th.  They would appreciate your support as they complete their final “practice run” before the real thing. 

Curious or think you could do better?  Come see what all the hype has been about!

•         Advanced Moot Court Competition Final Round Events:

•         Appellate Advocacy CLE Program from 4:00-5:00 p.m.

•         Advanced Moot Court Championship Round & Awards Ceremony from 5:30-7:30

Come support your peers and cheer for your favorite team as they argue in front of REAL JUDGES! 

The final panel will be: Chief Judge Jon Phipps McCalla (U.S. District Court, Western District of TN), Judge Camille McMullen (TN Court of Criminal Appeals) and Judge John Everett Williams (TN Court of Criminal Appeals).  All students, faculty and staff are invited to attend. 

•         Championship Celebration/MALS Benefit Concert

What better way to cap off a great competition than to have fun with your peers and support a great cause all at once?!?  Please join the Moot Court Board and final round participants for a benefit concert after the championship round.  WALRUS, a local band, will be performing 80’s hits. 

The doors open at 6:00 p.m. and the concert begins at 8:00 p.m.  The concert will be held at Newby’s on Highland.  The $10.00 ticket price includes complimentary drinks (while supplies last).  Please see the Moot Court Bulletin Board for more details.
