Professor Harris’ publications appear in the HARVARD JOURNAL OF LEGISLATION, COLUMBIA BUSINESS LAW REVIEW and GEORGETOWN JOURNAL OF LAW & PUBLIC POLICY, among other legal journals.  His research analyzes how changes in the law create incentives for positive behavior among individuals and firms. One recent paper was selected on a blind peer-review basis for inclusion in the Yale/Stanford Junior Faculty Forum in 2007 and on a peer-review basis by The Searle Center at Northwestern University for inclusion in its symposium on insurance markets and regulation. He is also the author of two books, MASTERING CORPORATIONS AND OTHER BUSINESS ENTITIES (Carolina Academic Press 2008) and CASES AND EXERCISES ON CORPORATIONS AND OTHER BUSINESS ENTITIES (Aspen, forthcoming 2010). His current projects are both empirical-based papers (including papers on co-authorship among legal academics and reverse mortgage transactions) and theory-based papers (including papers on private equity partnerships and shareholder proxy contests).

Professor Harris graduated from Yale Law School, where he was both a Coker Fellow in Contracts and Economics Teaching Fellow. He graduated from Morehouse College in Atlanta, GA and has also been a visiting student at the London School of Economics.
