Court for the Western District of Tennessee; Reporter for the TBA Task Force on the
Judiciary; member of Tennessee Special Legislative Committee to Study Article 2A of
the Uniform Commercial Code; member of the TBA Family Law Code Revision Commission;
founding member and President of the Tennessee Supreme Court Historical Society; NITA
faculty; ABA Schwab writing contest national judge; Tennessee Bar Foundation Fellow;
elected member of the American Law Institute; Tennessee Juvenile Justice Reform Commission,
advisory committee; master in the Leo Bearman, Sr. American Inn of Court; Memphis
Bar Association, Sam A. Myar, Jr. Award recipient; author of Tort Defenses and Immunities
