Experience: Civil Litigation and Appellate practice, Chicago, Illinois, 1971-73; Teaching Fellow, 1973-74, The University of Illinois, College of Law; The University of Memphis School of Law faculty since 1974; Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, 1980-82, 1986-87; Interim Dean, 1984-86, 2004-2005.

Achievements/Publications: National Endowment For The Humanities Fellow, Summer 1979, The University of Chicago School of Law; Professor of the Year, 2001-2002, The University of Memphis School of Law; Recipient, 2005, Excellence in Legal Education Award, The University of Memphis School of Law.  Professor Wanat has authored or co-authored many works.  His scholarship appears in nationally recognized legal periodicals.  His "articles" are cited in a diverse body of legal publications.  Professor Wanat writes to a Tort Law or Copyright/Entertainment Law readership.
