The University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law is pleased to announce its invitation to participate in the Moot Court National Championship to be held in Houston in January, 2009.  The University of Houston Law Center and Blakely Advocacy Institute are hosting the competition and extended invitations to the sixteen top moot court programs in the country based on competition results from the previous year.  Joining Memphis in the competition are Campbell University, Chicago-Kent College of Law, DePaul University, George Mason University, Harvard Law School, Loyola University-Chicago, Mercer University, Regent University, Seton Hall University, South Texas College of Law, University of California – Davis, University of California – Hastings, University of Colorado, University of Detroit Mercy, and University of Miami. 

            The students representing The University of Memphis are Moot Court Board Chief Justice Michael Joiner, Moot Court Board Associate Chief Justice George DJ Norton, and Josh Farmer.  Associate Dean Barbara Kritchevsky will coach the team.
