Individual gifts add up in unexpected ways

As you consider your gift to Memphis Law, please keep in mind “multiplier effect.” Whether your gift is $100 or $1,000, it can be leveraged to lead to other contributions. Alumni who have not yet contributed are more likely to do so when the number of overall alumni donations increase. Foundations and other major contributors always consider the level of alumni support before making large donations.

For example, if a thousand Memphis Law alumni make a gift of $50 each, it means:

• Five faculty members will be able to conduct summer research, or
• Five students will receive a scholarship of $10,000 each

Matching gifts

You or your spouse may work for a company that offers to match employees’ charitable donations. If that is the case, simply obtain the appropriate form from your company and submit it with your gift. We will take care of the rest.

By joining the Law Alumni Chapter of the University of Memphis Alumni Association, you’ll receive invitations to activities of interest and be kept informed about ways in which you can support Memphis Law.
