4th Annual Law School for Journalists

Join journalists and lawyers at the 4th Annual Law School for Journalists on Saturday, September 12 from 8:30 a.m. – 1:45 p.m. at University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law. The class will explore how the new technology, from websites to blogs to Twitter, is changing the way journalism is practiced, and how the law and legal system are adapting. Annual Judicial Reception

The Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law Alumni Board will host the annual Judicial Reception at the residence of University President Shirley Raines on Tuesday, November 3. Recent School of Law Graduates, Justices of the Supreme Court of Tennessee and members of the Federal, State and Local Judiciary will be honored. Save the Date!

Law School Grand Opening Gala, Saturday, January 16, 2010.  The Law Alumni Chapter, in collaboration with the Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law, is also hosting the Grand Opening Celebration of the newly renovated building on Saturday, January 16, 2010. The Grand Opening will take place throughout the entire building and will feature performers from the Rudi E. Scheidt School of Music. Gourmet food and beverage stations will offer "Best of Memphis" small plates from local restaurants. Law school students will administer building tours and will be honored with a late-night gathering after the conclusion of the event.
