Why did you choose your course of study (Leadership or Student Personnel Services)?

As that my undergraduate degree was in Accounting, I chose to pursue graduate studies with a concentration in Leadership & Policy Studies, as that I wanted to obtain more knowledge about leadership theories and proven practices.

How did this degree prepare you or improve your preparation for your current role?

The M.S. degree allows me to develop and refine my leadership skills, so as to facilitate success within a diverse and ever changing environment. I have the opportunity to be part of the division of Student Affairs executive team, in which we routinely analyze and assess programs, operations, etc. so as to optimize all resources, while keeping the mission and goals at the forefront.

What impact has your degree had on your life or career?

Professionally and personally it enhances accountability, responsibility and flexibility.
