Amelia Sanders has served the Department of Leadership as a Graduate Assistant for three years. The first two years she served the Higher and Adult Education Program at the Memphis campus, and she is currently serving at the Lambuth Campus. Amelia is a doctoral student of the Department of Leadership. She has received a graduate certificate in community college teaching and administration and is currently working on her dissertation for a Doctor of Education degree in Higher and Adult Education.
Amelia is experienced as a research assistant, general office assistant, admissions organization assistant, and recruiter for the Department of Leadership. Her undergraduate and graduate area of expertise is in communication studies. In addition to being a graduate assistant to the Department of Leadership, she works as an adjunct faculty member at Jackson State Community College and the University of North Alabama teaching oral communication courses.
Amelia resides in Ramer Tennessee and participates in various forms of community volunteer work. She has served the McNairy County chapter of the American Cancer Society for 13 years. She also volunteers heavily in her local church, Falcon Baptist Church. There she conducts recruiting research, and from her results plans outreach activities as the co-chair of the event planning committee. She is also the co-director of Vacation Bible School, and she teaches children's church.
