The HIAD faculty is offering the Ed.D. (with a concentration in Adult Education) online
beginning Spring 2011. It will require attendance on campus for one week during the
summer. To apply to the program, go to HIAD home page for guidance. We welcome your
applications.
The Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) with a concentration in Adult Education is designed
for individuals seeking to enter academic professions or advance in fields such as
business and industry, health related occupations, community and non-profit organizations.
The Adult Education concentration prepares students to educate adult learners and
promote lifelong learning. Graduates with this degree work as health, religious, or
community educators; human resource developers; directors of staff development and
training in organizations; and as adult and family literacy specialists. By working
in these capacities, graduates of the Ed. D. program in Adult Education help adult
learners achieve their academic and professional goals.
The Program of Studies provides an overview of required coursework for completion
of the degree. Many students in the program have already established successful careers.
To meet the needs of working adults all our classes are available either online or
evenings/weekends. The Course Schedule shows courses available online to meet degree requirements.
