The Office of Student Leadership & Involvement presents an initiative for student
leaders: Professional Connections Program.
The Professsional Connections Program joins a select group of highly motivated students
with community leaders. Over lunch and conversation this program allows the opportunity
for both students and community leaders to explore leadership education led by the
Student Leadership & Involvement staff. The goal of the Professional Connections Program
is to prepare students through leadership development to be future leaders, to build
community within the city of Memphis, and to facilitate the development of a support
network with community leaders.
Components:
Three month program (one Friday per month) consisting of developmental discussions
over lunch between University of Memphis students and mentors.
Requirements:
- Must have a cumulative 2.75 GPA.
- Attend Friday sessions (once a month).
- Discuss relevance of topics to one's life.
Online Application deadline for the spring 2013 semester is Friday, February 8, 2013.
