Baseball rides 14-Hit barrage to take down No. 2 Rice, 10-7, in series opener. Junior catcher Shawn Ablett  went 3-for-4 with two RBI, two runs scored, and he reached base five times to power a 14-hit offensive as Memphis defeated No. 2 Rice for the first time ever in Conference USA regular season play Friday night at Reckling Park. The victory is just the second time in the four-year series history.

Kathleen Glavin fired a final round 76, the lowest round of her career as a Lady Tiger, to lead the University of Memphis women's golf team to an eighth place finish at the Lady Eagle Invitational. Her 76 lifted her to the first top-20 showing of her career, finishing in 12th place.
