Invaluable education:
“What makes me a unique graduate of the U of M is that I am not from Memphis nor do
I currently reside in the Memphis area. After I left the Army, my family settled in
Memphis. I needed to have additional training and education in business, and the EMBA
program provided me that opportunity. I had the privilege and honor to learn about
the business world from both my professors and my classmates in a rigorous academic
environment. Over the years, I have kept in touch with several of my professors and
classmates as I progressed through my business career. The education that the University
provided, coupled with my professors and classmates, has proven to be invaluable to
me.”
Fondest memory:
“I had the opportunity to work with the Fogelman College of Business & Economics Alumni
Association. It was a wonderful feeling to be a part of growing the Association’s
status within the business community through our annual Business Luncheon. Through
this effort we had an opportunity to honor local business leaders who as alumni had
a positive impact on the business community. It was also great to have been a part
of the fundraising efforts for the Kemmons Wilson School of Hospitality and Resort
Management.”
U of M’s legacy:
“The U of M’s legacy is to serve as the focal point for academia, sports and business
relations within the local community.”
