Fondest memory:
“My fondest memories were attending Memphis State Tiger basketball games in the Coliseum.
I never missed a home basketball game. My second favorite memory was sharing my graduation
from Graduate School with my brother who was receiving his undergraduate degree in
1983. My mom was so proud!”
Selecting the U of M:
“My mother was my greatest influence in life. She was a graduate, so I knew I wanted
to be a Memphis State Tiger as well. Initially, I wanted to teach as my mother had
done. However, I became interested in business and was able to complete a degree in
accounting, which assured me of a strong job offer right out of college.”
U of M pride:
“The University advances despite the financial challenges resulting from state funding.
Rather than lowering its standard or reducing services, the University and its committed
leadership have pushed forward to create a top school in the state, and even in the
country. I am proud to be a Tiger!”
