in 2012! If you have old photos and/or memories and stories about your time at the
University, please forward them to Dr. Sherman at sherman@memphis.edu or call 901/678-2515.
The Confucius Institute at the U of M will host three days of festivities Oct. 4-6 to celebrate its second anniversary.
Activities will include a ribbon cutting at Wilder Tower to signify new office space,
the mid-Autumn festival and the unveiling of the Confucius statue. Go to www.memphis.edu/cium for details on other events.
The U of M’s second annual Sustainable Technologies Awareness Day will be Oct. 6 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the Student Plaza near the fountain. The
Center for Biofuel Energy & Sustainable Technologies (BEST) is spearheading this event
to display sustainable, eco-friendly projects that promote environmental responsibility.
This year’s free event will focus on University and student projects that embrace
the spirit of the Green Campus Initiative. Contact Marian Levy at mlevy@memphis.edu or 901/678-4514 for information on how to register.
