The University of Memphis is honored by the support of all
of its donors, including the following:
The Charles and Virginia Dickey Endowed Scholarship Fund was established by siblings Ann, Barbara and Charles “Buddy” Dickey in memory of their parents, Charles and Virginia. The endowment will provide scholarships for incoming or current students who demonstrate financial need and the ability and potential to perform well in college. Preference will be given to students who are members of an underrepresented population which contributes to the diversity of the student body. The first scholarship will be awarded during the 2009-10 academic year.
The Deal Cooper Holton PLLC Award for Excellence in Trial Advocacy was established by the law firm of Deal Cooper Holton PLLC. The award will be presented to a student with excellent performance in the Trial Advocacy course in the Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Fogelman donated more than 180 pieces of sub-Saharan African art to the Art Museum of the University of Memphis. Featuring such objects as an elaborate beaded Yoruba priest’s tunic, a cast metal Benin head from Nigeria and a wooden Fang funerary mask from Gabon, the Robert and Martha Fogelman Collection provides a rich core of valuable research and study material for visitors to the museum.
