FedEx VP Donald Comer Will Be Featured Guest at Hooks Institute Benefit
February 15, 2018 - Donald W. Comer, staff vice president for Operations Analysis at FedEx Corp., will be a featured guest at the 2018 Join Hands for Change Donor Benefit on March 1.
Comer has excelled in varying business disciplines, including finance, marketing, project management, strategic planning and leadership. He holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Tennessee at Martin in accounting and an MBA from the University of Memphis Executive MBA program. An outstanding leader and philanthropist, Comer has received numerous awards from FedEx, national and local organizations.
The 2018 Join Hands for Change Donor Benefit will showcase as its special stars students of the Hooks African-American Male Initiative (HAAMI), a program focused on increasing the retention and graduation rates of African-American males attending the University of Memphis. The evening will follow the format of late-night talk shows, featuring as host award-winning radio personality Stan Bell and house band Bill Hurd and Ensemble. A TV set designed for the evening will showcase the stars and entertain guests while highlighting the community and social justice work of the Hooks Institute.
