Three students at the University of Memphis Campus School were named the top artists
in this year’s holiday card art contest. Katherine Parker’s first-place artwork is
featured on the University’s holiday card, which has been emailed to more than 65,000
people.
The first-, second-, and third-place winners were announced during a school assembly
Dec. 3. Winners from each of the School’s classrooms were also recognized.
The top three honorees each received a monetary award and a certificate of appreciation.
The first-place winner’s artwork will also be framed.
Katherine Parker is in Mrs. Jennifer Cordero’s fifth-grade class. Her parents are
Emily and John Parker II of Memphis.
The second-place winner, Martha Humber, is in Mrs. Ashley Arnold’s second-grade class. Her parents are Lori
and David Humber of Memphis.
The third-place winner is Joe Melvin Tunstall, who is in Ms. Undria McClendon’s first-grade class. His parents are Terence Tunstall
Sr. and Roshanna Martin-Tunstall of Memphis.

Operated cooperatively by Memphis City Schools and the U of M College of Education,
Health and Human Sciences, the Campus School is an award-winning school for students
in grades one through five.
